Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 package of puff pastry
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 2 sausages (chorizo)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • Flour , for the work surface

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Halve the peppers and cook skin-side up in the oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes. The skin can get dark. Once they have cooled slightly, peel off the skin. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured work surface. Add the striped peppers and then the whole chorizo ​​and form into two rolls, like a roulade. Cut the rolls into pieces about 2cm long. When cut, you will see the puff pastry on the outside, then the peppers and the sausage in the middle. Place the pieces on a baking tray lined with baking paper, brush with egg yolk and bake in the preheated oven at 180°C until the puff pastry has risen and is golden yellow.
