Christmas Apple Dessert
The perfect christmas apple dessert recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 100 g Amarettini almond biscuits
- 3 middle Boskoop
- 1 tbsp Butter
- Raw cane sugar
- 1 shot Calvados
- 1 pinch Salt
- Cinammon
- Ground allspice
- Ground nutmeg
- 200 g Cream
- 300 g Lowfat quark
- 200 g Creme fraiche Cheese
- Quarter, core and peel the apples and then cut into cubes. In a saucepan, boil the butter together with a little sugar (everyone decides on the amount, depending on how sweet you like it and how sweet the apples are) to a caramel. Then add the apples and cook for a few minutes.
- Now deglaze with a good dash of calvados and simmer everything for a few minutes over medium heat until the apples are nice and soft. Then transfer to a bowl, season with a pinch of salt, cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg and let cool.
- In the meantime, whip the cream with a little sugar until it is almost stiff, then stir in the quark and creme fraiche.
- Now put the Amarettini in 4 dessert glasses first, then put the cooled apples on top and then layer the cream quark at the end. Cover and leave to stand in the refrigerator for approx. 2 hours and garnish with an amarettini each to serve.
