Christmas cinnamon cookie balls

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 180 g flour
  • 95 g butter
  • 60 g white sugar
  • 50 g brown sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 m.-sized egg(s)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 30 g brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 6 minutes; Total time approx. 26 minutes

American-style cookie dough

For the dough, cream the butter with salt, white sugar, and brown sugar until creamy and smooth. Add the egg and vanilla sugar and mix. Weigh the flour and gradually add it, stirring constantly, until a tough, sticky dough forms. (When the bowl is turned upside down, nothing should fall out, similar to whipped cream!) Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon well in a bowl. Then shape small portions of the dough into balls (approx. 4 cm in diameter) and roll them in the cinnamon sugar. Place the balls about 10 cm apart on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake at 200°C (fan oven) on the middle rack for 6 to 8 minutes. After 6 minutes (recommended), the cookies will be very moist; after 8 minutes, they will be a little drier but better caramelized. This recipe yields approximately 30 cookies.
