Coburg Schmätzchen

Mix everything thoroughly; if the dough isn’t yet smooth, add a little milk. Form a log and cut it into slices. Place the slices of dough on a baking sheet, leaving plenty of space between them, and bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 15-18 minutes. It’s best to bake them about four weeks before Christmas and let the cookies soften in the cookie tin (they’re rock-hard after baking), but unfortunately, ours never get soft because we always eat them right away. This recipe is from my grandmother and must be 100 years old.
