Christmas Cookies: Coconut Macaroons with Maple Syrup

additionally:
- 1 pinch Salt
- 120 g Desiccated coconut
- 4 tbsp Maple syrup
- 1 Msp Pulp of a vanilla pod
- 50 g Dark chocolate, 85% cocoa content
- Beat the egg whites with the salt in a fat-free bowl until stiff. Mix the remaining ingredients in another bowl and then carefully fold them into the egg whites.
- Place small heaps next to each other on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in the preheated oven at 170 degrees for about 12 – 15 minutes on the middle rack.
- Melt the chocolate in a water bath and drizzle over the cooled macaroons. Store the finished biscuits in a cool, dry place (also possible in the refrigerator).
