Christmas Cookies: Hilda Rolls
The perfect christmas cookies: hilda rolls recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 Butter cookie dough see my KB
- 100 g Raspberry jam
- 50 g Currant jelly
- First knead all ingredients with a hand mixer and then with your hands to form a smooth dough. Wrap in foil and put in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough 2mm thin (either with a little flour on the work surface or between cling film). Cut out one half with a glass and cut out the other half with a special cookie cutter (with a hole in the middle). If you don’t have this cookie cutter, simply use a glass and cut a hole in the middle with a clean beer mat.
- Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake at 175 ° C for about 15 minutes (the biscuits should be light brown around the edges). Let the cookies cool and spread the jam on the bases (mix the two jams). Put the lid on and press down lightly. Finally, sprinkle the cookies with powdered sugar.
