Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 250 g butter
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 4 tbsp must, white wine or apple juice
  • Currant jam (currant jam)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

Combine all ingredients, except the jam, and form a smooth dough. Let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Roll out the dough and cut out round shapes. Place a dollop of currant jam on one circle and cover with a second circle of dough. It’s best to press the edges together with a fork. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (350°F) on the middle rack for about 15 minutes. Once cooled, sprinkle with powdered sugar. I prefer to use cloudy apple juice for the dough.
