Cinnamon crescents

Ingredients for 20 servings:

  • 200 g butter
  • 110 g sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 260 g flour
  • 100 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 50 g powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 2 hours

Cream the butter and 100g of sugar until fluffy. Add 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, the flour, and nuts, and knead thoroughly. Form the dough into three rolls and chill for one hour. Cut each roll into equal-thick slices, shape them into croissants, and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake at 175°C (350°F) until light brown. Mix 1 teaspoon of cinnamon with the remaining sugar and the powdered sugar. Carefully remove the croissants from the baking sheet while they are still hot, roll them in the sugar, and let them cool.
