Sweet main course or dessert

The specified amount is enough for 3 servings as a main course. As a dessert, it serves 6-8 servings. Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente, then drain. Melt the butter in a saucepan and toast the breadcrumbs until golden brown. Add the pasta and mix well. Stir in the cinnamon and sugar. Peel the kiwis and cut into slices about 5 mm thick. Drain the sour cherries. Place the juice in a saucepan, mix with the cornstarch, lemon juice and vanilla sugar and bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until it thickens. Carefully fold in the sour cherries and kiwi slices. Remove the pan from the heat and let stand, covered, for a few minutes until the fruit is hot. Serve the pasta with the compote.
