Ingredients

  • 400 g Flour
  • 150 ml Warm milk
  • 1 cube Fresh yeast
  • 1 Egg
  • 80 g Melted butter
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 2 tsp Cinammon
  • 0,5 tsp Salt
  • 4 tbsp Powdered sugar
  • 0,5 Crushed lemon
  • 1 tbsp Cream cheese
  • 50 g Ground almonds

Instructions

  • For the dough: put the flour in a bowl. Heat the milk and dissolve the yeast and 70 grams of sugar in it. Add the milk mixture to the flour and roughly mix everything together. Now add the egg, 60 grams of melted butter and salt and knead everything into a light yeast dough. Let go in one place for half an hour.
  • 2nd filling: Mix the remaining sugar with the cinnamon and almonds. After the dough has risen, roll out. I always roll it into a big square too. Approx. 40x40 cm. Melt the rest of the butter and brush the dough with it. Now distribute the cinnamon mixture evenly on the dough.
  • Now shape the dough into a roll. Cut approx 2.5 cm pieces from the roll.
  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Now take a round cake tin, line it with baking paper and place the pieces on edge in the tin. Leave some space between the pieces as the dough will still come apart in the oven. Spread the rest of the butter on top.
  • Now put the cake pan in the oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes. For the icing, mix powdered sugar, cream cheese and lemon juice and stir to a smooth mass. Spread on the freshly baked warm cake. Finished! Can be served warm or cold If you want, you can simply dust the cake with powdered sugar, or spread another glaze on it, or just leave it like that 🙂 Have fun baking :-))
