Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 330 g minced meat, mixed
  • 2 onions, diced
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 gherkins, as a side dish
  • butter
  • 600 ml water, hot
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

This is a poor man’s meal from my childhood. Sauté diced onions in butter, then add the minced meat, crumble it, and fry briefly. Dust with 4 tablespoons of flour and pour in about 600 ml of hot water. Add two bay leaves and season with salt and pepper. Simmer gently for about 15 minutes. Serve with boiled potatoes and a pickled gherkin.
