Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 onions, diced
  • 1 piece(s) butter (small piece)
  • 400 g minced meat, half and half
  • e.g. flour or sauce thickener
  • 2 tbsp gravy
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • ½ jar gherkins
  • n. B. water

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Lightly sauté the diced onions in melted butter. Add the ground beef and fry until crumbly. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Add water as needed (depending on how much sauce you want). Then add the finely chopped gherkins (I usually use half a jar of the smaller gherkins—but you can adjust the amount to your liking). Then add the meat juices and let the whole thing simmer for about 10 minutes. Finally, thicken with flour and/or sauce thickener—adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve with boiled potatoes and rice. That’s how we like it best.
