Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 6 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
- ½ tsp mustard
- 3 tsp horseradish from the jar
- 2 tbsp sherry
- 2 tbsp cognac
- 1 orange(s), the juice
- 1 tsp chervil
- 1 tsp tarragon
- 1 tbsp juice (onion juice)
- 1 pinch(s) of cayenne pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes
Mix all the sauce ingredients together well and season to taste. This has been our go-to sauce for shrimp cocktail for years; all our guests absolutely love it. The sauce should sit for about an hour to allow the herbs to develop their full flavor. Karl Schaumlöffel isn’t just a promotional idea.
