Cocoa cherries, uncomplicated and lightning fast

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ½ liter of milk
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ½ cup condensed milk
  • 1 packet of pudding powder (cream or chocolate flavor)
  • some cocoa powder, if necessary
  • 2 handfuls of cherries, fresh, pitted

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

warm as a sweet starter soup or cold as a dessert, that’s how my grandmother loved it

Bring the milk and sugar to a boil. In the meantime, mix the condensed milk with the custard powder. If using cream pudding, add a little cocoa powder. Pour into the boiling milk, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil, don’t forget to stir. Finally, stir in the cherries, and you’re ready to enjoy the cocoa cherries as a warm soup or, cooled, as a dessert.
