Coconut Fish Soup

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 ml coconut milk, unsweetened
  • 200 ml water
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • 2 portions of frozen fish fillet(s)
  • sesame oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 1 garlic clove(s), finely chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Sauté the onion and garlic in sesame oil, then briefly toast the turmeric, cumin, and cinnamon, then add the coconut milk and water. Simmer gently for about 15 minutes. Meanwhile, thaw the fish fillets and cut into approximately 2 x 2 cm cubes. Add the fish cubes to the soup and simmer gently for about another 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
