Coconut macaroons according to Grandma Gerda

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 egg whites, beaten stiffly
  • 250 g powdered sugar
  • 250 g desiccated coconut
  • wafers

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

makes about 30 pieces

Beat the egg whites until stiff and slowly add the sifted powdered sugar. Fold in the desiccated coconut. Place small portions of the wafers on the wafers. Place the wafers on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (top/bottom heat) for about 20-25 minutes, until lightly golden brown. Makes about 30 wafers.
