Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 egg whites
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 vanilla sugar
  • 65 g quark (low-fat)
  • 5 drops flavoring (bitter almond)
  • 200 g desiccated coconut

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Beat the egg whites until stiff (firm to slice). Gradually add the sugar and vanilla sugar. Carefully fold the quark and bitter almond extract into the batter. Finally, fold in the desiccated coconut. Makes approximately 50 macarons. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle and pipe onto round wafers or place them onto the wafers using two teaspoons. Preheat the oven to 200-220°C, fan oven 180-200°C, gas mark 3-5. Bake the macarons for 10-15 minutes.
