Coffee Biscuits Made from Walnuts
The perfect coffee biscuits made from walnuts recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the dough:
- 300 g Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 125 g Extra fine sugar
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 200 g Branded butter in pieces
- 125 g Coarsely ground walnuts
- 2 Egg yolk
Also:
- 50 g Whole milk couverture
- 60 piece Walnut halves, extra beautiful
- Sieve the flour with the baking powder into a mixing bowl, pour the other ingredients over it in the order shown and stir everything with the dough hook until crumbly. Continue working with your hands until you have a smooth kneading dough.
- Wrap the dough in foil and let it rest for a few hours in the refrigerator (this can also be done overnight). Cut the rested dough into four parts and form a roll about 3 cm in diameter from each of these parts. Place in the refrigerator for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 190 degrees, line a baking sheet with baking paper. Cut 5 mm thick sections from the rolling pin, they look like small sandwiches. Place a little space away on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the middle of the oven for about 12 to 14 minutes (depending on the stove).
- Let cool completely on a wire rack. Then melt the couverture, put a dollop on each biscuit and press half a nut on each. Store the cooled pastries in a tin can and later enjoy them piece by piece with a good cup of coffee.
