Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 1 head of white cabbage
  • 250 ml oil
  • 125 ml vinegar (7-herb vinegar)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 200 g sugar
  • possibly pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

quickly prepared – very tasty when lukewarm

Remove the wilted outer leaves of the white cabbage and wash the cabbage. Then quarter it and slice it into fine strips. Add the oil, vinegar, salt, and sugar to a saucepan and heat until the sugar and salt have dissolved. Bring it to a boil, if you like. Pour the hot liquid over the salad, and it can be eaten immediately. This salad has always been a hit with family and friends, as it tastes great both hot and cold. If you like, you can add a little pepper, and if it’s too sweet for you, simply use a little less sugar.
