Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 head of white cabbage
  • 2 tbsp salt, for draining
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Finely shred the white cabbage, toss with two tablespoons of salt, and knead thoroughly. Let it rest for about half an hour. Puree the onion with a hand blender. Make a marinade with the remaining ingredients. It should taste slightly sweet. Fold in the onion. Squeeze out the water from the shredded white cabbage and add it to the marinade. Mix thoroughly. Pour it back over the cabbage and let it marinate.
