Colorful lentil stew

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 75 g diced ham
  • 250 g potatoes, floury
  • 250 g lentils, red
  • 750 ml meat broth
  • 3 spring onions
  • 1 bell pepper(s), yellow
  • 1 m.-sized apple
  • 250 g herb cream cheese
  • Salt
  • Paprika powder, sweet

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Peel and dice the potatoes. Briefly rinse the lentils in a sieve. Briefly fry the ham cubes in a large pot, briefly sauté the potatoes and lentils, then deglaze with the stock. Let the mixture simmer gently for about 15 minutes. In the meantime, wash and finely chop the spring onions, bell pepper, and apple. Add them to the pot and simmer for another 5 minutes. Add the herb cream cheese to the stew and stir in. Season with salt and paprika. We serve this with baguette as a side dish.
