Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 sausages (Wiener) or the equivalent amount of meat sausage
  • 4 carrots, peeled and coarsely grated
  • 1 onion(s), cut into rings
  • 1 small can of corn, drained
  • ½ red bell pepper(s), diced
  • 4 tbsp ajvar
  • ¼ liter vegetable broth
  • ½ handful of bacon, diced
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 400 g pasta (Greek resin pasta, Kritharaki)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Slice the sausages and cook the pasta according to the package instructions, then drain. Fry the bacon, add the sausage slices, fry, and remove from the pan. Add the pasta and fry until lightly browned. Add the sausage and bacon again, stir in the broth and ajvar, and season with the spices. Stir in the vegetables and cook briefly. We like the vegetables very crunchy, so I add them just before serving. If you prefer them softer, let them cook a little longer. Stir in half a cup of sour cream, and serve the rest sprinkled with paprika.
