Christmas cookies

Mix the baking powder with the sifted flour and mix with the nuts. Now add the sugar, vanilla sugar, flavorings and eggs. Mix with some of the flour to a paste. Now add the cold shortening, which has been cut into pieces, and knead everything from the center into a smooth shortcrust pastry. Cover the dough ball with plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for a while. Roll out on a floured surface to a thickness of about 4-5 mm, cut out stars and bake on baking paper at 200°C with top and bottom heat for about 10-15 minutes. Glaze the cooled cookies and decorate attractively with sugar sprinkles. GLAZE: Mix the sifted icing sugar with lemon juice and enough water to form a thick mixture.
