Colorful white cabbage stew

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g white cabbage
  • 750 g potatoes
  • ¼ celeriac
  • 1 bunch of spring onions
  • 100 g smoked bacon
  • 2 carrots
  • 100 g beans, green
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 liter vegetable broth
  • marjoram
  • pepper
  • 4 sausages (Mettenden)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

with Mettenden

Clean the white cabbage and carrots and chop into small pieces. Thinly slice the spring onions. Finely chop the beans. Peel and dice the potatoes. Dice the bacon and onions as well. Heat a little oil in a large pot and fry the bacon and onions. Add the vegetables and fry briefly. Add the vegetable stock and season with pepper and marjoram. Place the Mettenden sausages on top of the vegetables. Cover and cook the stew for 35 minutes, stirring frequently.
