Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 slices of toast
  • 4 slices of cheese (Gouda)
  • 4 slices of ham, squeezed
  • 4 eggs
  • Salt
  • Pepper, white
  • Parsley, dried
  • Paprika powder, sweet

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Toast the slices of bread and top each with a slice of ham and a slice of cheese. Meanwhile, fry the eggs and season with salt, pepper, parsley, and a little paprika. Place a fried egg on each slice of toast with the yolk roughly in the middle of the toast. Toast the remaining slices of bread and, while the toast is still warm, cut a hole in the center with a champagne glass. Then place the perforated slices of bread over the fried eggs, allowing the yolk to show. Season the yolk with salt again, if desired. Dip the yolk into the cut-out slice of toast and then enjoy the toast (best done with a knife and fork).
