- 4 large spring onions, quartered

- 10 peppercorns

- 1 bay leaf
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Place the beef shank slices in a saucepan along with the sliced carrots, quartered onions, spices, peppercorns, bay leaf, and salt (amount to taste). Add enough water to cover all ingredients. Simmer until the beef shank slices are tender. This goes very well with mashed potatoes.
