- 250 g Branded butter
- 200 g Harzer cheese
- 200 g Cream cheese
- 250 g Sour cream
- 2 teaspoon Caraway seeds
- 2 teaspoon Red chilli flakes
- 2 teaspoon Seasoned pepper
- 3 Pinches Salt
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over a gentle heat. During this time, cut the Harz cheese into small cubes. Add the Harzer and the processed cheese to the butter and let everything melt together while stirring until a smooth, creamy mixture is formed.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the sour cream with all the spices. Fill into portion containers while still hot and after cooling keep in the refrigerator until eaten.
- The homemade cooked cheese tastes many times better than the ready-made cheese. You can also season it to your own taste.
- This amount resulted in 3 pots of 300 g each.
- I frozen one of the pots and now thawed it again after a good 5 weeks. It was an experiment – I wanted to know whether the cheese changes optically or in taste in the freezer: it looks like freshly prepared … optically and also in taste … simply GREAT !!
