Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). For the cookie dough, cream the softened butter with the brown sugar and the egg in a bowl until fluffy. Then add the salt, baking powder, wheat flour and potato starch and mix everything well. Stir in the chocolate chips and vanilla or rum flavoring. Roll out the puff pastry and spread the cookie dough evenly on top, leaving the edges free on the long sides. Now spread jam, nut spread or chocolate spread on the cookie dough. Roll the puff pastry up like a strudel. Cut the roll into strips about 2 cm wide and place them in the holes of a prepared muffin tin. Bake the cruffins in the hot oven for about 20 minutes until golden brown. Tips: If you like, you can add nuts or coconut to the dough instead of chocolate chips. For a more chocolatey flavor, you can refine the dough with unsweetened cocoa powder.
