Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 140 g lard
  • 140 g butter or margarine
  • 140 g sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 420 g flour
  • 30 g almonds, chopped
  • n. B. Jam of your choice

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Rest time approx. 5 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 6 hours 20 minutes

Makes about 40 – 50 pieces.

First, cream the lard with the butter until fluffy. Then add the sugar and 3 egg yolks. Then stir in the flour in portions. Shape the finished dough into a ball, wrap it in cling film, and refrigerate for 4-5 hours (preferably overnight). Then form small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Flatten slightly. Now, using the handle of a wooden spoon, for example, make indentations in the balls. Then add the jam. Brush the cookies with egg yolk and sprinkle with the chopped almonds. Bake at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for 15-20 minutes.
