There are several ways to make cornbread. It is usually baked in a heavy iron pan, but it can also be used in a flat baking pan. Most recipes use buttermilk to add some freshness to the cornbread. Alternatively, you can also use milk. The amount of sugar can be adjusted depending on the use. This recipe gives an average amount of sugar. If you want to bake a particularly healthy cornbread, it is better to do without sugar altogether.
