Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 6 steak(s) (beef steaks), from the wide rump
- ½ lemon(s), the juice
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp jam (blueberry jam)
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 sprig(s) rosemary
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large onion(s), finely chopped
- 1 piece(s) ginger, cherry-sized, peeled, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper, coarse
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 15 minutes
Combine all ingredients, except the steaks, in a bowl and stir to combine. Marinate the meat for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight. Only prepare the steaks when your guests arrive. To do this, preheat the grill to medium heat. Grill the steaks on aluminum trays for 6-8 minutes on each side. Remove the steaks from the grill, season with salt, and let them rest, covered, for 5 minutes. Serve with a green bean salad.
