Meat Balls from the Smoker

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 16 slices of bacon
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 20 g breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • 150g Gouda
  • 1 onion(s), finely diced

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

with BBQ sauce, bacon and Gouda

Mix the minced meat with salt, pepper, egg, breadcrumbs, and onions and roll into 8 equal-sized balls. Cut the cheese into 8 portions or pieces. Use your finger to make a small indentation in each ball, fill with cheese, and seal. Cross two slices of bacon and wrap the balls. Place the balls in the smoker and cook at 170-190 degrees Celsius with a little smoke for about 15 minutes. When the bacon is nice and crispy, brush the balls with the BBQ sauce and let them caramelize for about 5 minutes.
