Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 eggs
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 150 ml oil
  • 150 ml buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp rose water
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 3 apples
  • e.g. flowers, edible, pistachios, almonds etc. for decoration
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Beat the eggs until the mixture has become noticeably lighter in color. Add the sugar, vanilla sugar, oil, and buttermilk and stir in. Add the rose water. Finally, briefly stir in the flour and baking powder. Place a sheet of baking paper in a springform pan, leaving the edges raised (this creates a nice shape), and pour in the batter. Finally, cut the apples into thin slices and arrange them on top. Bake in a hot oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 45 minutes. Allow to cool. Carefully remove the cake from the baking paper and decorate with edible flowers, pistachios, almonds, or the like, as desired. Dust with icing sugar to finish.
