Cranberry liqueur

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g cranberries, fresh
  • 1 bottle of vodka
  • 300 g brown sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • ¼ stalk(s) cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Wash the cranberries thoroughly, sort them, and halve them. Place them in a tightly sealed container with the sugar, spices, and alcohol and let them rest for at least 6 weeks. Shake occasionally to dissolve the sugar. After 6 weeks, filter and season to taste. If the liqueur isn’t sweet enough for your personal taste, add a little more sugar and let it mature a little longer. The liqueur will take on a beautiful red color and have a slightly tart flavor. Tip: The fruit from the infusion can be used with sour cherries and marzipan to make a delicious autumnal jam.
