Cream cheese ajvar noodles

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 300 g pasta
  • 150 g cream cheese
  • 150 g ajvar
  • 100 ml milk
  • 2 tbsp pasta water
  • 1 bunch of basil
  • 250 g vine tomatoes (mini)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • n. B. Salt
  • n. B. Pfeffer
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 2 tbsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Meanwhile, quarter the tomatoes and remove the seeds. Finely dice the onion. Set the large basil leaves aside. Roughly chop the small basil leaves. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onions until translucent. Sprinkle with the sugar and let it caramelize slightly. Add the tomato quarters and fry for 3 minutes. Then add the cream cheese, ajvar, milk, 2 tablespoons of pasta water and chopped basil and mix everything into a sauce. Reduce to the desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper. Drain the pasta and mix with the sauce. Garnish with the large basil leaves and serve hot immediately. Tip: Serve with salad. Other ingredients can be added to the recipe as desired, e.g. diced vegetables or meat, such as chicken.
