Cream cheese yeast balls

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 50 g sugar
  • 200 ml milk
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 dashes lemon juice
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 4 tbsp cream cheese, natural
  • 5 tbsp milk, for brushing
  • 100 g raisins, or chocolate chips, etc. as desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 5 minutes

Combine flour, yeast, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Heat the milk with the butter, then add it to the flour mixture along with the lemon juice, egg, and cream cheese. Knead thoroughly with a mixer and dough hook and let it rise in a warm place for 45-60 minutes. Knead the dough again, adding raisins or chocolate chips if desired. Divide into 12 dough pieces, place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and let it rise for another 15-20 minutes. Preheat oven to 200°C (fan/convection oven), brush the dough pieces with milk, and bake for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
