Cream sauce with bratwurst and mushrooms

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 bratwursts (grilled sausages)
  • 100 g mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 cube of vegetable stock
  • 300 ml water, hot
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 200 ml cream
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cut the raw sausages into thin slices. Finely dice the onion. Heat the butter in a pan and sauté the onions until translucent. Add the sausage slices and fry. Then add the mushrooms and continue cooking for about 3-5 minutes. Crumble the stock cube and dissolve it in the hot water. Sprinkle the flour over the sausage and mushroom mixture and sauté briefly. Add the stock and cream and thicken everything into a creamy sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Finally, stir in the chopped parsley. Serve with pasta, rice, or potatoes.
