Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 20 fish fillets of green herring
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 500 ml sour cream
- 1 large gherkin(s), thinly sliced
- 2 apples, sour, firm, thinly sliced
- 2 medium-sized onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp chives, finely chopped
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 20 minutes
Prepare a marinade from vinegar, water, and sugar, pour it over the fillets, and marinate for at least 3 hours. Then layer the drained fillets in a serving bowl or stoneware pot, top with gherkins, apples, and onions, pour over the sour cream, and serve sprinkled with chives. Serve with boiled potatoes.
