Creamed liver strips

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g onion(s), in wedges
  • 500 g apples, in wedges
  • 500 g liver(s)
  • 1 cup of sweet cream
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

A quick meal for two

Lightly brown the onion wedges in a large pan with 2 tablespoons of butter, add the apple slices, and fry. Add the liver, cut into small strips, and fry briefly on all sides, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper, and immediately add a little cream. Simmer for 5-10 minutes, until the liver is cooked through (test if necessary) and the cream has reduced slightly. Season to taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary, then serve immediately. Tip: Serve with potatoes or mashed potatoes (freshly mashed, of course!).
