Creamed spinach with a hearty garlic note

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg leaf spinach
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 4 tbsp cream
  • 2 pinches of salt
  • 2 pinches of nutmeg
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 onion(s), small, regular size
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Freshly made with leaf spinach

Finely chop the spinach with a chopping knife and cook it with a little water over medium heat for 10 minutes. Then drain it in a colander. Meanwhile, dice the onion and finely chop the garlic. In a saucepan, add the drained spinach to the remaining ingredients, including butter, cream, salt, nutmeg, garlic, onion, and olive oil, and stir to combine. Bring everything together briefly to a boil.
