Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 250 g spaetzle or macaroni
- 500 g schnitzel meat, cut into small pieces
- 250 g mushrooms
- 2 onions
- 1 tbsp flour
- 100 ml cream
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 4 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 40 g butter
- 500 ml broth
- possibly sauce thickener
- salt and pepper
- some oil
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Cook the pasta until al dente, transfer to a colander, and set aside. Dice the meat and onions, and slice the mushrooms. Heat the oil and brown the meat. Add the onions and mushrooms, brown, and season with salt and pepper. Add the stock and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes. Mix the flour with the cream, add to the meat, and bring to a boil. If the sauce is too runny, simply stir in a little more light sauce thickener. Season the minced meat with lemon juice, salt, and pepper, and transfer to a greased baking dish. Add the pasta, sprinkle with breadcrumbs, and scatter with butter. Bake at 200°C for 15 to 20 minutes.
