Creamy Pea Soup
The perfect creamy pea soup recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 300 g Green frozen peas
- 1 Pc. Fresh onion
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 300 ml Vegetable broth
- 200 ml Cream 10% fat
- 2 NS. Whole grain bread
- Salt and pepper
- Thaw the peas, peel the onion, dice. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a saucepan and sauté the onion cubes in it. Add the peas, stock and cream (save 1 tablespoon of the cream for serving). Bring to the boil and cook for 10 minutes. Simmer over medium heat. Mix with a hand blender. Bring to the boil and season with salt and pepper. Cut the bread slices into cubes. Heat the remaining oil (1 tablespoon) in a pan, fry the bread cubes in it until crispy. To serve, place the soup in soup bowls, serve with the cream and croutons.
