Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 250 g milk
- 250 g cream
- 150 g sugar
- 2 vanilla pods, slit and scraped
- 1 egg(s)
- 4 egg yolks

very simple but delicious
Heat the milk, cream, vanilla pods, and their seeds, and let stand for 20 minutes without adding more heat. Combine the sugar, egg, and egg yolks, but do not beat until foamy (!). Combine the egg-sugar mixture with the milk and cream and pour through a fine sieve into shallow bowls. Discard the vanilla pods. Bake in a preheated oven at 130°C (top/bottom heat) for approximately 30-40 minutes (convection oven takes approximately 10-20% less time). The cream should now be set. Allow the cream to cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar, and then briefly caramelize it with a blowtorch.
