Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 250 g butter or margarine
- 250 g sugar
- 5 eggs
- 250 g flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 jar cherry(s) (sour cherries)
- 250 ml cream
- 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
- 1 cup crème fraîche
Instructions
Working time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes
Cream the butter with the sugar and eggs. Sift in the flour and baking powder. Stir in the well-drained sour cherries, spread on a greased baking sheet, and bake at 160°C for about 25 minutes. Whip the cream with the vanilla sugar until stiff peaks form and gently stir in the crème fraîche. Spread over the cooled cake and sprinkle with cinnamon and cocoa.
