Crispy Herb Schnitzel
The perfect crispy herb schnitzel recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 4 Pork schnitzel
- 500 g Waxy potatoes
- 1 Egg
- 2 tbsp Clarified butter
- Parsley, chives
- Some flour for breading
- Peel and wash the potatoes, slice them into fine strips with a grater and pat dry very well. Add herbs to taste.
- Wash the schnitzel, pat dry (if necessary cut in half – depending on size), season with salt and pepper and turn in flour.
- Heat the lard in a large pan.
- Whisk the egg – pull the powdered schnitzel through the egg, cover with the potatoes and press firmly. Fry the schnitzel in hot fat on each side for approx. 5-6 minutes until golden brown.
- At and there were chanterelles – but of course a nice salad also goes very well.
