Ingredients for 24 servings:
- 200 g filo pastry
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 24 small mushrooms
- Salt
- Black pepper, freshly ground
- Grease for the tray
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Mushrooms in filo pastry, crispy baked
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Trim the mushrooms. Cut the stacked sheets of filo dough into 10 x 10 cm squares, then separate the individual slices. You will need a total of 24 pieces of dough. Brush the filo pieces thinly with olive oil and place a mushroom in the center, seasoning with salt and pepper. Fold the dough around the mushroom and twist it into a parcel. Brush the outside with olive oil. Place the mushroom parcels on a greased baking sheet and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. Let cool for at least 5 minutes before serving. They taste best fresh from the oven on cocktail sticks to avoid burning your fingers.
