Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 package of puff pastry, frozen, approx. 300 g
- 1 egg yolk, for brushing
- 2 tbsp milk, for brushing
- Salt, caraway, poppy seeds, sesame or grated cheese
- Flour , for the work surface
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Puff pastry sticks
Spread the pastry sheets apart and let them thaw. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a floured surface. Cut strips 10 cm long and 1 cm wide. Twist the strips into spirals. Place them on a greased baking sheet. Mix the egg yolk with the milk and brush the sticks with it. Sprinkle the sticks with salt, caraway seeds, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, or grated cheese. Place the baking sheet on the middle rack of the oven and bake the sticks for 10-15 minutes in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius or gas mark 3.
