Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg wheat flour type 405
  • 500 g butter, room temperature
  • 500 g granulated sugar, fine
  • 4 eggs, size L
  • 8 cl rum, brown, 54%
  • 1 tsp, leveled salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes

In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until frothy. Add the flour, salt, rum, and the butter in small pieces and knead vigorously by hand. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Form into walnut-sized balls and bake each in the waffle iron for about one minute. Then, immediately place them over a small bowl or form an open waffle cone in a narrow glass. This recipe yields approximately 60 waffles.
