Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 300 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 2 eggs
  • 125 g cheese, old Gouda
  • some salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Flour
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Oil, for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Minced meat croquettes with grated cheese

Blend the minced meat with the onion, one egg, the grated cheese, and the seasonings to form a smooth meat dough. Form into 3 cm thick and approximately 7 cm long rolls. Coat them in a little flour, a beaten egg, and breadcrumbs. Fry in hot oil. The croquettes go well with many warm side dishes (e.g., mashed potatoes, pan-fried rice), as well as with baguette and salad.
