Crown Particles
The perfect crown particles recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- Dough
- 500 gr Flour
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 2 tbsp Melted butter
- 150 ml Warm milk
- 1 dice Yeast
- 3 tbsp Natural yoghurt
- Filling:
- 250 gr Finely crumbled feta
- 2 tbsp Finely chopped flat leaf parsley
- For brushing and sprinkling:
- 2 Egg yolk
- 1 tbsp Sesame
- 1 tbsp Bumblebee
- Knead all the ingredients for the dough into a nice, smooth yeast dough. The dough should not stick to the hands later! You may need to add a little more flour. So that the dough rises nicely, knead the dough for 8-10 minutes or knead it with the machine 🙂 Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 1/2 hours until it is twice its size.
- 2nd filling: finely chop the parsley, crumble the sheep cheese very finely and mix everything together nicely. When the batter has doubled, divide it into large mandarin balls. I got about 30-35 pieces with the quantity. Roll out each ball oval. Cut 3 slices above and fill the lower part with feta. Roll up and close the ends tightly. Then press both ends together at the back so that it looks like a small crown 🙂 It is best to take a look at the photos, because I took everything exactly. Pre-heat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius. Place the pieces on a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush with egg yolk. Sprinkle with black cumin and sesame seeds. Turn the oven down to 180 degrees and bake the crown pieces for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Done! Very, very tasty 🙂 And a great pastry for a tea time 🙂 I wish you a lot of fun baking 🙂
